North Baltimore Crime: Woman Assaulted in Hampden Home

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated Assault: 3700 block of Chestnut Avenue, 11:40 p.m., May 14.  A woman heard knocking at the door and answered it. Some acquaintances told her that "Drew" was trying to call her and was on the phone. They then forced their way into the woman’s home and began hitting her in the face with pliers and kicking her before running off.

Commercial Armed Robbery: 3600 block of Roland Avenue, 1 a.m., May 16. A robber entered the Royal Farms store armed with a silver handgun. He demanded money and stole the clerk’s wallet before running away.

Stolen Auto: 3800 block of Roland Avenue, between 5:30 p.m., May 14 and midnight May 16. A gold 1990 Dodge Dynasty was stolen.

Attempted Burglary Garage: 2900 block of Wyman Park Drive, 12:40 p.m., May 18. A burglar tried to break into the garage by smashing a window with a stick. The resident heard the noise and yelled at the burglar who ran.

Burglary Garage: 2900 block of Wyman Park Drive, between 4 p.m., May 17 and noon, May 18. A burglar unlocked the garage door and stole a bike.

Stolen Auto: 500 block of East 42nd Street, between 2:30 and 4:45 a.m., May 13. A green 1995 Nissan Maxima was stolen.

Aggravated Assault: 4100 block of Old York Road, 4:50 p.m., May 13. A man was playing basketball when three assailants approached and beat him until he was unconscious.

Charles Village

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 200 block of East 29th Street, between noon and 6:46 p.m., May 14. The window of a 2002 Ford was broken and the interior ransacked.

Armed Robbery: Unit block of East 25th Street, 3 a.m., May 14. Two robbers approached a man and one of them pulled out a handgun. They demanded money and stole $207, a cell phone and keys before running off.

Burglary Residential: 3000 block of St. Paul Street, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m., May 15. A burglar broke in through an open rear window and stole a Canon EOS Rebel camera and three lenses.

Stolen Auto: 2600 block of North Charles Street, between 9 p.m., May 15 and 10 a.m., May 16. A grey 2006 Honda Civic was stolen.  

Burglary Residential: 100 block of East 33rd Street, 4:15 p.m., May 18. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear door and stole an iPad. 

Lake Evesham

Larceny from Auto: 6000 block of Prescott Avenue, between 12:15 and 7:50 a.m., May 14. A purse was stolen from an unlocked 2007 Saturn.

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 2700 block of Guilford Avenue, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., May 14. Burglar pried open the rear door ransacked the house and stole a television, video game systems and a baseball bat.

Burglary Residential: 300 East 28th Street, 4:25 a.m., May 16. The burglar opened the front door and stole a PlayStation 3, a Rebel Canon camera and a purse. The tenenat saw the burglar leaving through the front door.

Guilford

Burglary Commercial: 4600 block of York Road, between 8:30 p.m., May 13 and 11:30 a.m., May 14. A burglar kicked in a window of New Image Barber Shop and stole clippers and blades from work stations and cash from a vending machine.

Robbery Armed: Unit block York Court, 10:50 a.m., May 18. A man was standing outside gardening when a woman approached him and asked for change. He gave the woman some change and then she reached into her pocket and said "give me all your money or I’ll slice you." Fearing she had a knife, the man handed over $100 in cash.

Richnor Springs

Robbery Armed: 4700 block of York Road, 11:30 p.m., May 14. Two robbers approached a man who heard a gun "racking" and then a voice say "nobody move." The man tried to run but fell down and dropped $50 and his keys. The robbers picked up the property and left the area.  

Stolen Auto: 4700 block of York Road, between 2:00 and 2:10 a.m., May 14. A green 2000 Ford Explorer was stolen from after the keys were left in the ignition.

Burglary Residential: 500 block E. Cold Spring Lane, between noon May 12 and noon May 15. Radiators, refrigerators, a stove, four flat screen televisions, a microwave and a bedroom set were stolen. 

Waverly

Commercial Armed Robbery: 3300 block of Greenmount Avenue, 6:35 p.m., May 14. Two robbers entered Stadium Lounge brandishing handguns and said, “this is a robbery.” The bar’s employee went behind a glass partition and locked the door. The burglars tried to get into that area but were unable to get in. The robbers then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled east on 34th Street.

Cedarcroft

Larceny from Auto: 400 block of Cedarcroft Road, between 7 p.m., May 14 and 8 a.m., May 15. A purse was stolen from a black 2000 Toyota Sienna.

Larceny from Auto: 6200 block of York Road, between 10 p.m., May 14 and noon, May 15. A camera and car keys were stolen from a white 1991 Honda Accord.

Abell

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Barclay Street, between noon and 4:30 p.m., May 15. A handicap placard was stolen from a red 2005 Pontiac.

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Barclay Street, between 1 and 4:30 p.m., May 15. A handicap placard was stolen from a red 2004 Chevy Tahoe.

Woodberry

Burglary Garage: 3600 block of Parkdale Avenue, between 8 p.m., May 16 and 7:30 a.m., May 17. A blue and white Honda 300 EX and a red and Yellow Yamaha Banshee were stolen from a garage. 

Oakenshawe

Burglary Residential: 400 block of Calvin Avenue, 1 p.m., May 17. A rear door was kicked in and two iPads, a travel bag, $150 and keys were stolen from the house. 

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of Homewood Terrace, between 7 a.m. and 7:40 p.m., May 16. A black Garmin GPS, $15 and $20 in gift cards were stolen from a black 2008 Toyota Rav 4.

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: 3900 block of Cloverhill Road, between 8:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., May 16. Tools were stolen from a white 2006 GMC Savana.
