North Baltimore Crime: Woman Robbed at Bus Stop

Charles Village

Armed Robbery:  Maryland Avenue, 2800 block, 12:52 p.m. Jan. 11. A woman was sitting on a bench at a bus stop when a robber sat next to her and put an unknown hard object to her side. “Don’t move, don’t holler, just hand me your purse. Come on lady, just hand me the purse,” the robber said. The woman complied out of fear that the robber had a gun, and then the robber ran west on 29th Street, police said.

Medfield

Armed Robbery: Edgehill Avenue, 4100 block, 5:50 p.m. Jan 12.  A woman was walking on the street when two robbers approached her, police said. One of the robbers pointed a gun at her chest and said “…give me your purse.” The second robber grabbed her purse and the pair ran off.

Abell

Burglary: East 30th Street, 300 block, between 8:40 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 8.  A burglar entered through an unlocked rear window and fled through the rear of the home, but no property was reported taken.

Rosebank

Arson: East Belvedere Avenue, 300 block, 11:30 p.m. Jan 9. Someone broke a passenger window of a 1999 Ford Windstar van, threw a flaming piece of paper into the vehicle and ran off. An anonymous caller reported the incident to police.

Mount Washington

Burglary: Ken Oak Road, 2400 block, between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan 11. A burglar broke a rear glass door and entered the house. Once inside, the burglar rummaged through several rooms before taking a 55-inch high definition television and two computers, police said.

Hampden

Larceny from Auto: Elm Avenue, 3800 block, between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 9. Someone unzipped the soft top of a Jeep Wrangler and stole a Jansport backpack containing a Baltimore County Fire Department ID.

Larceny from Auto: Elm Avenue, 3700 block, between 4 p.m., Jan. 10 and 4 p.m., Jan. 11.  The window of a Nissan Xterra was broken and $10 in coins was reported stolen.

Waverly

Larceny from Auto: East 38th Street, 600 block, between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 12. The window of a Jeep Cherokee was broken and a Dell laptop, Sony camera and a purse were among the items reported stolen.

Roland Park

Stolen Auto: West Northern Parkway, 1100 block, between 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Jan. 11. A 2005 blue Ford Explorer was reported stolen.

Cedarcroft

Larceny from Auto: Sycamore Road, 6200 block, between midnight Jan.11 and 8 p.m. Jan. 12. An iPhone, charger and GPS were reported stolen from an unlocked Volkswagen.

Homeland

Burglary Garage: Broxton Road, 300 block, between 11 p.m. Jan 12. and 7 a.m. Jan. 13. A burglar kicked in the door of the garage and stole a weedeater and chainsaw, police said. 

Burglary Garage: Broadmoor Road, 300 block, between noon Jan 13 and 9:45 a.m. Jan 14. A burglar forced a lock off a garage door and stole a pressure washer and a weedeater, police said.

Hoes Heights

Burglary: Woodheights Avenue, 1100 block, between 10 a.m. 4:50 p.m. Jan. 12. A burglar forced open a basement door and stole $150, police said.
