North Baltimore Crime: Woman Robbed of Fanny Pack

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2800 block Greenmount Avenue, 11:53 a.m., Jan. 7. A shoplifter took television dinners from the Family Dollar, but was caught and issued a citation for shoplifting.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2800 Greenmount Avenue, 1:25 p.m., Jan. 7. A shoplifter took a phone and cat food from the Family Dollar, but was caught and issued a citation.

Larceny Shoplifting: 600 block of Homestead Street, 2:30 p.m., Jan. 9. A thief stole a rock key hider from ACE Hardware, but left behind his cellphone during the crime.

Larceny Other: 2500 block of St. Paul Street, 4 p.m., Jan. 7. A woman’s purse was stolen from underneath her desk at her work place.

Burglary Residential: 3100 block of N. Calvert Street, 12:15 p.m., Jan. 9. A burglar broke in through the rear basement door but set off the motion detector while walking up the steps. The noise woke the resident up and she saw the burglar run out from her backdoor through the bedroom window.

Guilford

Larceny Other: 4100 block of Underwood Road, between 11 p.m., Jan. 7 and 8 a.m., Jan. 8. A copper gutter was stolen from a home.

Hampden

Burglary Residential: 4000 block of Hickory Avenue, 6:40 p.m., Jan. 7. A burglar broke into a house that is for sales after taking a key from a lock box. The burglar then stole a Netbook and an iPad.

Larceny from Auto: 3400 block of Chestnut Avenue, between 2 p.m., Jan. 6 and 4:15 a.m., Jan. 7. A wallet and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a 2006 Ford.

Larceny from Auto: 800 block of W. 36th Street, 3:35 p.m., Jan. 11. A purse, iPhone and $300 were stolen from an unlocked 2004 Mazda.

Homeland

Larceny from Auto: 5200 Putney Way, between 11:57 p.m., Jan. 8. A phone charger was stolen from a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. 

Hoes Heights

Attempted Burglary: 1000 Providence Street, between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Jan. 7. A kitchen door’s glass, a dinning room window and a bedroom window were damage in an attempted burglary.

Lake Walker

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of Gittings Avenue, 8 p.m., Jan. 8. A baby carrier and $2 were stolen from a 2009 Toyota.

Robbery Unarmed: 6300 block of York Road, 1:40 p.m., Jan. 8. A woman was walking to her car when a robber approached her from behind and tried to ssteal her fanny pack. The woman resisted but the robber was able to take the property and ran away headed south. The woman was taken to Union Memorial for treatment for an injury to her left wrist.  

Medfield

Larceny from Auto: 1300 block of W. 42nd Street, between 3:30 p.m., Jan. 7, and 6:15 a.m., Jan. 8. Two drills were stolen from a 2006 Ford.

Larceny from Auto: 4200 block of Elsa Terrace, between 9:30 p.m., Jan. 7 and 7 a.m., Jan. 8. A speed router and two drills were stolen from a 2010 Ford.

Larceny from Auto: 4300 block of Buchanan Avenue, between 8:05 and 8:15 a.m., Jan. 11. A purse was stolen from a 2003 Lexus.

Mount Washington

Larceny from Auto: 2200 block of Ken Oak Road, between 10 p.m., Jan 6 and 7 a.m., Jan. 7. A Magellan GPS and clothing was stolen from a 2004 Infiniti.

Larceny from Auto: 2700 block of Manhattan Avenue, between 6 p.m., Jan. 6 and 6:45 a.m., Jan. 7. An iPod and a pearl bracelet were stolen from a 2001 Toyota Camry.

Burglary Residential: 5700 block of Woodcrest Avenue, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Jan. 11. The front door was kicked in and a bedroom was ransacked. The burglar stole a television; laptop; ring; and necklace. 

Radnor-Winston

Attempted Burglary Commercial: 5000 block of York Road, 2:54 a.m., Jan. 9. Someone broke the front glass door of Popeye’s but wasn’t able to get into the restaurant.

Remington

Larceny Shoplifting: 2700 block of Huntingdon Avenue, 2:40 p.m., Jan. 8.  T-shirts were stolen from International Grocery.

Attempted Burglary: 2600 block of Hampden Avenue, between 7:20 and 7:45 p.m., Jan. 10. The front door of the property was damaged. 

Roland Park

Stolen Auto: 3900 block of Beech Avenue, between 8 p.m., Jan. 7 and 6:30 a.m., Jan. 8. The window of a 2007 BMW was broken and the key for A 2002 Volkswagen Passat was stolen. The Passat was also stolen, but it was later recovered in the 900 block of W. 36th Street. 

Wyman Park

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Beech Avenue, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., Jan. 6. A cellphone and a coat were stolen from a 2003 Toyota.
