North Baltimore Crime: Women Robbed Near Guilford

Charles Village/Guilford/ Oakenshawe

Armed Robbery: 3600 block Greenway, 7:50 p.m., Jan 16. A woman was walking in the area when a robber grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled out a knife and pointed it at her chest. She tried to push the robber away and asked “Wait, do you want money?” The robber responded, “give me” and then took her purse and ran south on Greenway.

Attempted Armed Robbery:  3900 block St. Paul St., 7:20 p.m., Jan 18.  Two women were walking when a suspect approached them and said, “Give me something or I will pull a gun.” The women told the robber they had nothing and then he told them to come with him, but they refused. The robber then threatened to pull out a knife and lunged at the women who ran away. A passerby called police and the robber ran south on St. Paul Street.

Keswick

Burglary: 4300 block Keswick Road, 7:30 a.m., Jan 15. A burglar forced a side door of the garage open and stole two bikes.

Winston-Govans

Stolen Auto: 5100 block York Road, between 10:35 and 10:45 p.m., Jan 16. A green four-door 1996 Accura TL was stolen.

Medfield

Armed Robbery: 1300 block W. Old Cold Spring Lane, 7:55 p.m., Jan 17. Two robbers entered The Backstretch Saloon and walked to the bar. One of the robbers had a black handgun and said, “Give me all the cash, I ain’t playing, this is for real.” The robbers were handed $1,500 and a My Touch cell phone. They also demanded money from a patron and took $190 before they drove off in a beige car.

Charles Village

Burglary: 2900 block Guilford Ave., between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m., Jan. 17. A burglar entered a home through a rear kitchen window, but ran out the back door when hearing the resident coming.

Larceny from Auto: 3400 block N. Calvert St., between 2 and 6 p.m., Jan 18. A handicap placard was stolen from a 2010 Jeep after a window was broken.

Hampden

Attempted Burglary: 2900 block Keswick Road, between 9 a.m. and 7:22 p.m., Jan 17. A would-be burglar kicked in a rear kitchen window but was unable to enter the house.

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: 4300 block N. Charles Street, 10:28 a.m., Jan. 18. Someone smashed a window of a 2005 Honda and stole a Garmin GPS. The person responsible was observed on video surveillance.
