The truck and trailer used to take more than $500,000 worth of cognac from a Rosedale distribution center have been found, but the liquor was gone, according to the Baltimore County Police Department, which is asking the public for help in the investigation.
A white 2001 Freightliner truck with "Hale Trucking" on the cab door and a yellow trailer with "MSC" on either side were recovered Tuesday on Mulberry Street at Monroe Street in Baltimore City, police said.
They were stolen from ServeU in the 7000 block of Quad Avenue in Rosedale at 4:58 a.m. on March 16, when multiple people entered a fenced-in parking area, got into the truck and hooked it up to a cargo container on a trailer, police said.
There were 2,142 cases of Hennessy cognac inside the cargo container, according to police.
The suspects cut a lock on the gate and left with the stolen goods, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident may contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020.
