Police Release Photos of Yau Bros. Homicide Suspects

Baltimore City police are looking for help identifying two suspects in the Oct. 31 murder of 52-year-old Fredie Jones Jr.

Jones was shot to death in the , 2901 Greenmount Ave., while waiting to pick up food. Markell Jones, 17, later turned himself in and confessed to the shooting, according to police.

But police have been unable to identify two other suspects who were in the carryout at the time of the shooting.

"The way we got our first suspect was an individual recognized him, we got some community intelligence and they immediately contacted police and turned him in. We're hoping that we do the same with these next two," police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. 

Guglielmi said police will continue to work with the community to avoid future incidents at the store. He said there has been some talk in the , but police plan to come up with alternative measures before taking that step.

“I know it’s been talked about in the community about ‘[are] the police going to take any padlock action against the Yau Brothers,’” Guglielmi said. “And I just want to say to that we’re not in the business of shutting businesses down. We don’t shut down bars and restaurants. We want to make sure businesses in the city are safe, and that they’re good partners of the police.”
