Men Found Shot on Bellona Avenue

Two men were reported shot in the 6000 block of Bellona Avenue.

(UPDATE) 9:28 a.m., Friday—Two men were reportedly found shot near the Rosebank and Homeland neighborhoods Thursday night in what police believe was a drug dispute.

According to Det. Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, the victims were found shot in a car at about 10 p.m. Thursday in the 6000 block of Bellona Avenue. 

The wounded men, one thought to be in his 20s and another in his 40s, were found in a gold Dodge, and are believed to have driven to that location after being shot.

He said each man was shot in the arm and was taken to an area hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Sgt. Anthony Smith, a police spokesman, said on Friday morning that detectives investigating the shooting believe it may be the result of a drug dispute.
