Remington Murder Trial to Begin in August

Syron Abdullah, 20, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.

The trial of Syron Abdullah, who is accused of murdering an 18-year-old Remington woman, is set to begin on Aug. 8.

Abdullah, 20, pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder, according to the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s office.

Johma Blackwell was found stabbed to death in a home in the 2600 block of Huntingdon Ave. in late March.

Baltimore police arrested and charged Abdullah with murder and armed robbery on April 14.
