Robber Snags $270 After Targeting Stopped Car

The car was at a stop sign in the Waverly neighborhood.

A group of co-workers traveling by car was robbed at gunpoint in Waverly.

According to police, at about midnight on Thursday, in the 600 block of E. 35th Street, three women were driving home when they stopped at a stop sign and a robber armed with a gun climbed in the car.

The robber began fighting with one passenger, who knew the robber as “Kevvo,” and he then pulled out a gun and demanded property from the other people in the car.

The people in the car handed over a combined $270 in cash and the robber then left the car.
