Robbers Strike Again in North Baltimore

Juveniles believed to be behind a rash of robberies attacked a John Hopkins affiliate Thursday.

A group of juveniles who use stolen cars to commit robberies in North Baltimore struck again Thursday morning.

According to an email from Johns Hopkins University security, at about 8:47 a.m., a woman was tackled and had her purse stolen in the 200 block of Wyman Park Drive.  

Two juveniles were walking in front of the woman, while a third grabbed the woman from behind and pulled her to the ground and stole her purse.

Then all three juveniles took off running toward Remington Avenue and jumped into a Volvo, which Baltimore police confirmed reported stolen and used in a previous robbery, and drove away, according to the email.  

There have been several robberies reported in North Baltimore where juveniles have used stolen cars to get away after robbing pedestrians. Maj. Kimberly Burrus, in an email to residents, wrote that she believes a shooting Wednesday in Roland Park may be connected to this crime spree.
