Shot Fired in Clipper Mill Inn Robbery

Police are looking to two men who robbed the bar in the early morning of March 17.

The Baltimore City police are searching for two men who robbed a Hampden bar and fired a shot during the crime.

At 1:05 a.m. March 17, two men armed with handguns entered the Clipper Mill Inn, 1619 Union Ave., and announced a robbery, according to a police report. The men then began taking property from customers. One of the robbers went to an employee and demanded that she open the cash register.

As the employee was getting ready to open the register, one of the customers tried to run out of the bar, and a robber fired a shot at him. The shot missed and the suspects then ran out the door.

Det. Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, said that police are still investigating the incident and are looking for the suspects. Both men were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and wore masks.
