Shotgun Toting Bandit Robs Hampden Royal Farms

The robber stole cash and six cartons of Newport cigarettes.

A robber, carrying a shotgun, entered a Hampden store early Thursday and made off with an unknown amount of cash and six cartons of Newport Cigarettes.

The robber entered the store, in the 1000 block of West 41st Street, at about 5:22 a.m., pointed a shotgun at the clerk and said, “Get on the ground, give me all the money,” according to a police report.

The robber then took the cigarettes and cash from the store before running north in the 4100 block of Hickory Avenue.
