Man Fatally Shot in Dundalk: Baltimore County Police

A suspect was in custody, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

A man shot on Paulette Road in Dundalk has died, police said after 2 p.m. Thursday.

The Baltimore County Police Department responded to a shooting in an apartment in the 2000 block of Paulette Road at 1:03 p.m. and found a man with at least one gunshot wound, according to a report from police.

The victim was taken by helicopter to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities had a suspect in custody as of 1:33 p.m., the Baltimore County Police Department said.

The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit was investigating the incident, which was the first homicide of 2014, police said.

From the Press Release : At 1:03 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Paulette Road in Dundalk for a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
