Woman Robbed of Purse in Waverly

The robber was armed with a handgun.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint while walking in Waverly.

According to police, the woman was walking at 2:45 a.m., on Nov. 30, near the 3500 block of Frisby Street when robbers approached her from behind.

One of the robbers, armed with a handgun, told the woman: "This is a robbery. Give me your purse."

The woman handed over her purse, which contained $80, a Cricket cell phone and various credit cards.

The robbers then ran off in the 3500 block of Frisby Street.
