'Baltimore Brew': Report Gives 3 Options for Rec Centers

Baltimore City will look at rehabbing some rec centers, turning others over to private groups and closing several.

The Baltimore Brew takes a look at the city’s Recreation Task Force recommendations for rehabbing or replacing recreation centers in Baltimore.

The plan proposes expanding 11 rec centers and turning them into “state-of-the-art community centers by 2015,” turning over 28 centers to private groups and closing several obsolete facilities, according to the article.
