North Baltimore Patch will be live blogging the Baltimore City Council's meeting.

UPDATE (5:45 p.m.) — The work session on Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's proposed redistricting plan scheduled after tonight's meeting has been cancelled.

James Kraft, D-District 1, said the work session was cancelled because prisoner numbers from the state are not available yet. 

A new state law counts prison populations in the districts of their last known address.

Another hearing on redistricting is scheduled for Wednesday at Baltimore City Community College.

Chris Walsh, president CEO of Taco Bell, was on hand to receive resolution for the fast food chain's charity work.

The resolution names Taco Bell an "American hero."

William "Pete" Welch, D-District 9, awards the resolution to Walsh.

"We wish more businesses like yours would step up to the the plate and help where needed," City Council President Bernard "Jack" Young said. 

Resolution calls for informational hearing requiring the Housing Commissioner to come before the council and discuss the availability of affordable house.

Resolution assigned to Housing and Development subcommittee.

Council bill regarding informational hearing on Adult Protective Services introduced.

Bill assigned to committee.

"There's not a great support system for elders that live in neighborhoods with us," Bill Henry, D-District 4, said.
