Baltimore Offers Neighborhood Event Grants

The grants can be applied for via the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts, in partnership with MECU, is offering grants up to $1,000 to help communities hold events aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods.

The grants can be used to plan events such as a neighborhood clean up, street festival and health fairs.  The deadline to apply at the office of promotion and arts website is 5 p.m. Friday, according to a news release.

"Community events like block parties, street festivals, and health fairs are vital to our neighborhoods because they bring residents together and help strengthen our city," Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said in the release. "We are grateful to MECU for partnering with us to help the Neighborhood Event Grants Program touch the lives of people throughout Baltimore."
