City to Host Free Big Truck Day Saturday

The annual event will include trucks from across the city's fleet.

City vehicles from cherry-pickers to dump trucks will be on display this weekend for Baltimore City's Big Truck Day.

The event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

Kids will be able to explore the city's trucks, see a city fire boat, check out a city skyline made of Legos and try a running track that will measure their speed. Employees will be on hand to hand out free hard hats and vests to children, though supplies are limited, said public works spokesman Kurt Kocher, who added that last year's Big Truck Day drew 2,500 people.
