Denver Mayor Injured, Delays Ray Lewis Imitation

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock bet that he would dance like Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis if the Broncos lost on Saturday.

Ravens fans will have to wait a bit to see Denver Mayor Michael Hackcok's dancing skills.

Hacock bet Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake that he would record his best imitation of lineback Ray Lewis' pregame dance if the Ravens beat the Denver Broncos in last week's playoff game.

The Ravens pulled out an unlikely victory in double overtime on Saturday, but Hancock has reportedly just pulled something.

His office sent an email to Baltimore media—who are eagerly waiting for the video of the mayor dancing—that he hasn't fulfilled the bet yet because he hurt himself.

"The Mayor was at a National Western Stock Show event last night when he caught his boot and seriously strained his right quadriceps. Our Mayor is headed to the doctor now to find out when he will make a recovery and be able to fulfill his bet with Baltimore," Amber Miller, a spokesman for the mayor, wrote in an email.

Last week, prior to the game Rawlings-Blake bet crab cakes and that the city would light the Washington Monument blue and orange if the Ravens lost. Hancock also said he'd send steaks to Rawlings-Blake.
