DPW Launches New Facebook Page

The page will give residents up to date information on a range of topics including repairs.

The next time you’re having issues involving the Department of Public Works you can sign on to the world’s most popular social media site for an update.

On Wednesday the department announced that it has launched a new Facebook page.

"I am really excited about our new Facebook page," Director Alfred H. Foxx said in a news release. "It’s another opportunity to communicate with the citizens that we serve; thus being more transparent, which is something this agency is utterly committed to."

The new page is an update of the agency’s old group page and will be able to access the latest update information on topics ranging from repairs, to trash and recycling services and community competitions, according to the news release.
