Big Truck Day is Sat, May 14 in Baltimore City, A Free City Event

BIG TRUCK Day is Coming May 14th 

5 City Agencies to display big trucks at the Baltimore Museum of Industry!

Who: The Departments of Public Works, General Services, Transportation, Fire, Police in conjunction with the Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI).

What: Come see some of the largest city-owned vehicles in the City’s fleet on the BMI parking lot for FREE. Vehicles scheduled to appear include the City’s largest Tow Truck, a Bomb Truck, Fire Engine, Rescue Vehicles and Fireboats. Nearly 20 vehicles and equipment will be on-show for citizens to see, touch feel and learn about.

What More: For additional enjoyment the BMI is offering half off admission to families who attend the event. FOR BIG TRUCK DAY ONLY! Adults $5, Seniors $4, Children 6+ $3, Children under 6 are FREE!

Tour the museum’s new Orientation Exhibit as well as the Transportation Exhibit which showcases historic vehicles.

Where: The parking lot of the Baltimore Museum of Industry, 1415 Key Highway

When: 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011

Why: This event is a prelude to the start of National Public Works Week. DPW will kick that off with another event planned for the following day at the Loch Raven Reservoir.
