Town Hall Forum: Offshore Wind Power Works for Baltimore

The Marylanders for Offshore Wind coalition invites you to join Senator Catherine Pugh for a town hall forum focusing on a proposal by Governor O'Malley to construct a 400 - 600 megawatt wind energy farm off of the coast of Ocean City.

The project would generate enough energy to power half of the homes in Baltimore City, and according to the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development would create around 2400 jobs statewide. Futher the project could help stabilize our energy costs, and by jumpstarting a vital clean energy industry, help to cut air pollution and associated health and climate change impacts.

Senator pugh will be joined by a panel of experts to discuss these impacts.
