Look Out for North Baltimore Speed Cameras

The Open Baltimore website posted the location of fixed speed cameras in the city on Thursday.

On Thursday, Open Baltimore, the city's online tool for more transparency, posted the locations for the 80 fixed speed cameras in Baltimore.

Although the sites have been posted since the cameras were put in place on the Department of Transportation's website.

Patch has pulled out the locations in our coverage area you should watch your speed near.

Here are the spots:

  1. W. Cold Spring and Roland Avenue
  2. Tamarind Road and W. Cold Spring Lane
  3. Northern Parkway and Falls Road
  4. York Road and Gittings Avenue
  5. E. Northern Parkway and York Road
  6. N. Charles Street and Lake Avenue

I have to rely on the data released by the city. According to Open Baltimore these are the locations of the fixed speed cameras.

Cold Spring and Roland has both a red light camera and a speed camera.

I should have included that camera. I relied only on data and for whatever reason that particular one wasn't included.

Have speed cameras actually netted any revenue for the city yet or are they still an expense?
