Roosevelt Recreation Center Reopens Following Water Pipe Break

The center opened its doors again on Wednesday.

The Roosevelt Recreation Center reopened on Wednesday after being closed because of a broken pipe, according to The Baltimore Messenger.  

In late March the center, located in Hampden, closed because the broken pipe in the kitchen caused "extensive damage," a spokeswoman said at the time.

Roosevelt under went a $1.3 million renovation that was completed in 2006 and largely paid for through community fundraising.

However, the building was plagued with problems following the rehab, especially with the building's heating and air conditioning system.
