Some North Baltimore council members showed their support at a press conference on Wednesday.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has officially received the backing of many of the City Council members that represent North Baltimore.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Councilwoman Sharon Green Middleton, D-District 6, and Councilwoman Rochelle “Rikki” Spector, D-District 5, officially endorsed the mayor.
“She has been an excellent mentor to me and I support her 100 percent,” Middleton said.

Councilman Bill Henry, D-District 4, was not on hand, and neither was Councilman Carl Stokes, D-District 12. Stokes was running for mayor until changing his mind, instead running for City Council. Henry did attend the opening of the mayor’s campaign office in Remington and wore a Rawlings-Blake sticker.
