"Maxwell's capital budget for 2014, which includes money for kindergarten additions and open classroom enclosures as top priorities" These open schools have been around since the fad stared in the 70s. Interesting that it only took 30 or so years for this to become a priority.

It takes time to see if these new fangled ideas will work. I think 30 years is not enough time to fully evaluate these plans. It's been over 200 years and we're still trying to fine tune this nation.

Open space classrooms started in Californa, and of course, everything that California does, Maryland has to do too. We had three boys goe through the open space era bat Four Seasons Elementary and I'm glad to see them finally go.
