You Tell Us: Are You Concerned About City Service Reductions?

We want to know what our readers think about how city service reductions would impact their neighborhoods.

The turbulent economy has given Baltimore City’s budget a beating.

And now the city is taking historic measures, such as exploring privatizing some of its recreation centers, to stay in the black.  

Some services, such as bulk trash pickup, will be subject to higher fees.

What concerns me most is that only about 22% of the electorate turned out for the primary election last month. It seems to me, with citizen involvement at that level, it won't matter how upset people are with these cutbacks, the pols will not care one bit. Why should they? They aren't going to be held accountable for their actions.
