Young Makes Council President Bid Official

Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young will seek his first elected term.

Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young made his election bid official on Monday.

Young, who represented parts of the Charles Village and Remington neighborhoods when he was the councilman for District 12, is seeking his first elected term as council president.

Young was appointed to the position by fellow council members following then Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s ascension to mayor after former Mayor Sheila Dixon’s resignation in 2010.
