City Schools Closed Wednesday

The snow, which started overnight, could dump 8-10 inches on some parts of the Baltimore area.

Baltimore City Public Schools will be closed Wednesday.

According to forecasts, some parts of the Baltimore area could see as much as 10 inches in the snow that began early Wednesday morning.

Baltimore Gas and Electric officials are expecting hundreds of thousands of outages. Outages can be reported on the utility's website or by calling 877-778-2222.

City officials will be posting snow removal updates and other information on its on the Office of Emergency Management Twitter account and snow center website. Baltimore County officials will be doing the same on its @BACOEmergency Twitter feed.
