I don't have any children that are school age. If I did, I would either be living in one of the surrounding counties or the kid would be in private school. I would never send my child to a Baltimore City public school, even the best of them.

I have sent 3 children to Baltimore city schools for the last 13 yrs with the oldest graduating from high school this year - so far she's been accepted to UMBC & Drexel and other acceptances will come. I would never send a child to an socially segregated private school and I have no interest in living in the burbs. Not saying everything is rose colored, but it's been the right decision.

Thank goodness I didn't say I would never send your children to a Baltimore City public school. I said I'd never send mine to them.
