Public Schools Closed, Most Privates on 2 Hour Delay

Overnight ice and snow has caused hazardous road conditions.

Baltimore City Public Schools are closed today and most private schools and universities are opening late due to hazardous road conditions caused by ice and snow. 

Tuesday's forecast shows a high of 37 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, with the wintry mix continuing until noon. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent, though accumulation is projected to be less than a half-inch. 

Rain and show showers are expected Tuesday evening, until midnight, with lows expected to be 33 degrees.

School or District Status Baltimore City Schools Closed Cathedral of Mary Closed Bryn Mawr School 2 hours late. Calvert School 2 hours late. Friends School 2 hours late. Gilman School 2 hours late. Roland Park Country School 2 hours late. Johns Hopkins University Classes start at 10 a.m. Loyola University Opens at 10:30 a.m. Notre Dame Opens at 9:30 a.m.
