Snow Closings, Delays in Baltimore City

Snow is in the forecast until Monday afternoon.

Due to inclement weather, Baltimore City Public Schools are closed on Monday, March 17. Essential employees must report at 10 a.m., which is when the district office opens.

Baltimore City is under a winter storm warning until 2 p.m., with 5 to 10 inches of snow expected to accumulate by then, according to the National Weather Service.

Liberal leave is in effect for nonessential Baltimore City employees on Monday.

Johns Hopkins University is closed as of 6 a.m. All daytime classes are canceled. A decision about evening classes will be announced late this morning. The O’Connor Recreation Center at Homewood will operate on a limited basis from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Eisenhower Library and Brody Learning Commons at Homewood will open at 1 p.m. with limited service.

Loyola University Maryland campuses will open at noon. Classes that begin before noon are canceled. Essential personnel should still report on time. Shuttle service begins at 11 a.m. Graduation fair begins at 1 p.m.
