Stokes Tells Supporters He Is Running For Mayor

After much speculation, it seems Councilman Stokes is making it official - he is running for mayor.

Baltimore City Councilman Carl Stokes (D-12) said on his Facebook page on Sunday that "I am campaigning for Mayor of the City of Baltimore".

Although he has previously discussed running, there has been no official announcement that he plans to give up his District 12 seat on the City Council for a mayoral run.

Stokes titled his open letter "A Mayor for Our Baltimore!"
