Baltimore Track Athletes Shine at AAU National Junior Olympics.

Teams from Baltimore and Baltimore County were represented.

Baltimore area athletes fared well at the AAU National Track & Field Junior Olympics last week.            

The meet, held at Eastern Michigan University, was open to numerous age groups. Here’s a list of some of the athletes from the Baltimore area.

First, the boys: 


  • Anthony Valentine (Elite Track Club). - National Champion / Gold Medalist - Boys 8 and Under Long Jump
  • Litchfield Ajavon (Baltimore City Track Club)- National Champion / Gold Medalist - 12 Yr. Old Boys 100 Meter Dash, 12 Yr. Old Boys 80 Meter Hurdles, 12 Yr. Old Boys 6-pound Shot Put
  • Jadon Davis (Woodlawn Track Pack) - National Champion / Gold Medalist - 12 Yr. Old Boys 1500 Meter Race Walk
  • George Flaviano (Baltimore City Track Club) - National Champion / Gold Medalist - 17-18 Yr. Old Men's 400 Meter Hurdles

  • Adrianna Thomas (Owings Mills Track Club) - National Champion / Gold Medalist - Girls 8 and Under 100 Meter Dash
  • Kennedy Roberts, Adrianna Thomas, Kaylyn Johnson, and Sage Hinton (all from Owings Mills Track Club)- National Champions / Gold Medalists - Girls 8 and Under 400-meter relay
  • Hannah Salvador (Fort Meade Highsteppers)- National Champion / Gold Medalist - 9 Yr. Old Girls 1500-meter race walk
  • D'Amaie Davis (Woodlawn Track Pack) - National Champion / Gold Medalist - 14 Yr. Old Girls 3000-meter race walk
