Three Local Teams to Host Quarterfinal IAAM Lacrosse Tournament Action on Tuesday
Bryn Mawr, Roland Park Country advance in A conference while Friends moves forward in B conference.
Fans of high school girls lacrosse will have their pick of action in North Baltimore on Tuesday.
The second-seeded Bryn Mawr School and the third-seeded Roland Park Country School will have home-field advantage in quarterfinal A conference IAAM tournament play. Bryn Mawr will host No. 7 St. Paul’s School for Girls, while sixth-seed Maryvale will travel to Roland Park Country.
In B conference action, No. 2-seed Friends will play seventh-seeded Seton-Keough at the Lady Quakers’ North Charles Street campus.
All three games are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
If the Mawrtians win, they will host the winner of the Roland Park-St. Paul’s Girls game in semifinal action on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The winner will advance to the A conference championship game at Gerstell Academy in Westminster on Saturday at 3 p.m.
If Friends defeats Seton-Keough, the B conference semifinal will be played at Friends on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that contest will play in the B conference championship, also scheduled at Gerstell on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Earlier in the season, Bryn Mawr topped St. Paul’s 14-10 in a game played at Bryn Mawr, while Roland Park Country defeated Maryvale in an away game, 14-7. The Friends girls won twice against Seton-Keough, 18-11 at home and 13-12 on the road.
