In the video, we are fortunate to clearly see - possibly feel - what it was like to be at the Feb. 5, 2013 Super Bowl XLVII Victory Parade in Baltimore City, Maryland. Which I missed. Not one other media story - amongst the many I've seen - about the parade comes close to doing what Nick DiMarco has given us in his parade video. I've intimately known the area of the parade route since I was a teenager in the 1960s, but I couldn't really know what the parade was like till I watched the video on here. I saw every Baltimore news outlet's story on the parade, and they just ain't got it good - they're stuff is clipped too short. I went to the celebration at M&T Bank Stadium, and did some still and video photography. I'll post it in my Patch blog. I do that work more as a historical record than a news item. So I get to include a lot of the same kinds of shots that are in Nick's video on this blog. My vids are longer partly due to not having the advanced schooling and intense editing experiences, plus professional software, Nick obviously has. Ever since coming home from the stadium event, I have been watching news casts and searching the Internet for stories, photos and videos of that event and of the parade. I didn't get much out of what I saw everywhere else, but sure enough found what I've been looking for here in Nick's video. Thank you Nick and Patch, for everyone in the world who can now enjoy knowing just what that parade was like to experience. Thanks!
