Govanstowne Farmers' Market Features New Vendors

The market, which began as a pilot program in 2011, starts its third season on Wednesday.

The Govanstowne Farmers' Market returns for its third year, and includes new products such as locally caught crabs.

The market is open from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Loyola’s Public Safety and Motor Pool Parking lot, 5104 York Road. Loyola University Maryland, the York Road Partnership and the Govanstowne Business Association sponsor the event.

The market, which started as a four week pilot program in 2011, will be open weekly—except for July 3—through Sept. 11 this year.
