The Left and Power Inequality. When Equality Is Suddenly Not Important.

You are going to hear more about this issue of ‘Power Inequality’, now that the Obama administration has decided to focus on ‘Income Inequality’ as part of its efforts to distract from its Obamacare debacle. As a response to his efforts, I’ve recently posted several articles that factually show that income inequality has actually dropped significantly over the years, when one considers all the many sources of government assistance that is provided to those in need that the government conveniently forgets to include in its analysis.

Obama, of course, will never tell you about any of this.

As for ‘Power Inequality’, Jeffrey Lord writes about a school teacher in Pennsylvania, who is clearly a victim, as his teachers’ union is able to take “Matt E.’s money by appropriation — and he must let them take it or he will lose his job — and then they use it for the union’s political purposes. Political purposes which are not shared by Matt E.” The real inequality here arises from the fact, according to the Commonwealth Foundation, that “Pennsylvania is a forced-union state—one of 26 in the country. This means government employees—state workers, teachers, municipal employees, etc.—who do not wish to join a union can be forced to forfeit a portion of their paychecks, called an “agency” or “fair share” fee, to a union as a condition of employment.”

You can get an early jump on this looming issue by reading Lord’s informative comments that follow.
