Clancy was wrong about the government. It does many things good. It also does many things bad, forRead More sure, but his remark either showed him to be ignorant, which I doubt he was, or just being flip, which, I suppose is excusable.

Tully I suspect you can write all the good things the government does on a napkin and have plenty ofRead More room left over. The government is a necessary evil, but, especially now, it is a bloated evil.

I would like to know that which the government "does well" besides taking money andRead More killing people? Post Office -- Bankrupt. Social Security -- Bankrupt. Medicare/Medicaid -- Bankrupt. Fannie Mae/Fannie Mac -- Bankrupt. Depart of Energy -- failed at every project since creation. Dept of Justice -- Morally Bankrupt. Amtrak & most passenger rail service-- moribund and dying. What is it that government does well?

It was Maryland in reality but neither show depicts the action taking place in Maryland. But theRead More reality part brings in the bucks, not the fantasy part.

What kiefibber meant to say was to visit the OFFICIAL pages at www.thesenatortheatre.com andRead More www.facebook.com/thesenatortheatre. Not the FOTK page with his misleading lackeys.

In light of the millions in taxpayer funds granted to the privately owned Senator TheatreRead More redevelopment project, the new owners will hopefully be upgrading the main auditorium at a minimum to Dolby *ATMOS*, the new industry standard of big-screen presentation excellence which Cinemark Theatres will showcase in its new Towson 15 screen luxury-plex, under construction. Does anyone have any updates if this latest 4K Dolby Digital film system upgrade is in the works? Hopefully, it is. The Friends of The Senator advocacy group, (www.friendsofthesenator.org over 2850 members & still growing quickly) feels strongly that it's critical for The Senator to maintain its hard earned national renown & legacy of presenting blockbuster film fare on the big screen in an optimal, cutting edge manner, featuring the latest technical upgrades and innovations in the film exhibition industry. With 3.5 million in taxpayer grants, the new and improved Senator Theatre certainly has public funding to remain Baltimore's renowned, state-of-the-art, film industry legend. visit: www.friendsofthesenator.org

Funny how not until now do you mention anything about Dolby ATMOS. Basically, you've recentlyRead More learned about the system and are spreading it all around knowing that it is far too expensive to fit into a budget that has already included adding auditoriums, a wine bar, and not to mention fixing the mess that you left behind after years of neglect. Why you're at it, why not throw in laser projection?

Artscape is fun but there is just way too much "Baltimore art". I don't consider toiletsRead More with flowers growing out of them or grass covered Cadillac's as art.
