The Franciscans represent a wonderful example of what is needed in this city. Their kindness toRead More the poor and helping families who are homeless is a cry for help from the City. There are too many people in and on the streets of this city that require help and the current plans need serious work to improve the lives of these individuals. Try to remember that these are also people who work daily at regular jobs but the income generated is not sufficient to have an apartment to live in. Some of the schools in the city have populations where 98% of the population are living at the poverty level and/or below the poverty level. It is time to take notice and help the Franciscans and all others who are working to make life better for so many of our families in Baltimore City.

Did anybody criticize Benny Hill for slappin' that little "old-bald-headed-white-man"Read More around? No....Why? ...'cause it was funny!!! There was no race card involved...you're right "everyone should put aside the race card!"...these days you just can't say anything where people take issue with it!...tough beans!!!

It's made up. Read the lawsuit. The lawsuit seeks to have the time extended for everybodyRead More ......including the military. You won't learn that glued to Faux News though.

His sunglasses pretty much took care of that and definitely suspicious to see someone riding with aRead More bike in tow, now that they mention it.
john merkle October 10, 2012 at 02:15 pm
On the flip-side there were a group of whites circling a block on bikes, in the photo the white kidRead More was limping, clothes torn, busted eye and, standing in a puddle of urine looking for his bike....and the camera was stolen before it could be presented on the back pages of the free-press...was this a race issue?...no...just another day in charm city...

Good luck, dude, you'll need it. You won't get any help from the city and you'll soon discover mostRead More of your fellow city residents don't give a hoot about litter, much less rats and crime. If you really want to go after the trash problem start dialing in some 311 complaints on serial sanitation code offenders, but you'll soon find out that the city really doesn't care and some offenders will verbally attack you. I've been there - done that.

Fantastic idea and one that can be accomplished. First thing though is to get the schools behindRead More you to develop programs that used to exist about littering. Some of the ideas were a little dated, but it was amazing in that children reminded their parents to stop littering. Baltimore used to be a very clean city, apparently from reviewing the photographs of men, women and children washing their front steps and having plants in front of their homes. It still can be and a anti-littering campaign is a great way to go about it. For the boys and girls clubs/scouts give a merit badge or something equivalent on developing a anti-littering campaign. Good for you.

I think he did the proper thing. Did anyone else rush to assist her?
Janet Metzner May 3, 2012 at 12:41 pm
Reports indicate that it was him. It's possible that he was the one with training, since the trialRead More is taking place in a small courtroom.

If these guys want to defend Israel they need to go to Israel. There are no 'we banks' they canRead More occupy and defend against anyone here. This is the U.S. and African Americans are not Palistinians. This black kid they beat up for being in their neighborhood is the descendant of blacks who fought and died and showed up at the gates of death camps in Europe. 'You don't belong here' was not heard then.st

@Bernard Lee: Speak the truth. Amen.

The critical mistake the Werdesheim brothers made was getting out of the car. Every communityRead More patrol is told by Baltimore Police that you do not persue anyone - you call 911.
