The men were arrested following a high-speed pursuit into Baltimore County after robbing two convenience stores in North Baltimore. They were taken into custody in a parking garage at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson. The Baltimore resident had been reported missing since September.
The man found dead in Reisterstown Saturday had been reported missing to Baltimore City police since Sept. 17, according to a media advisory from the Baltimore County Police Department. Police confirmed the deceased to be 24-year-old Darnell William Butler, a resident of the 3800 block of Ferndale Avenue. Butler’s body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office Saturday for autopsy. The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. Police discovered Butler’s body in the Hanover Pike and Butler Road area of Reisterstown Saturday. Luxury cars were stolen from the home in both incidents.
A home on Bellona Avenue that is being investigated as the scene of an arson was previously burglarized. On March 11, 2006, jewelry, rugs, a BMW and other items were reported stolen from the home, located in the 7000 block, Baltimore County police said. The property was not recovered and no suspects were identified. Police eventually suspended the investigation. Crews responded to the fire at the home around 8 a.m. Oct. 1, and discovered that a Porsche Cayenne and other items were stolen. Accelerants were found at the scene leading investigators to label the incident an arson. And this wasn't the first fire on that block. Ronald Givens, 55, was a possible witness in a Baltimore City firearms and narcotics case.
A grand jury returned indictments last week against four men for allegedly murdering a Baltimore County man who was a possible witness in a narcotics and firearms case. Derius Duncan, 22, Keyon Beads, 30, Clifford Butler Jr., 21, and David Johnson, 23, were all indicted in by the grand jury of Baltimore for attempting to bribe and then murder Ronald Givens, 55, of Lochearn, according to a news release. In March of 2011, Duncan was arrested and charged with firearms and narcotics charges after a “hack”—an unlicensed taxi—operated by Givens was stopped by police. On Oct. 4 2011, Givens was found shot dead outside the home he shared with his mother in Baltimore County, just 22 days before he was set to testify against Duncan. According to the…

Baltimore County police have arrested a man in connection with a Friday morning robbery that took place at a PNC back located inside a Towson Giant supermarket. Jonathan David Bailey, 27, was charged with robbery, theft under $1,000 and resisting arrest, said police spokeswoman Elise Armacost in an email. Bailey, who has no fixed address, is being held on a $200,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Towson police Capt. The robber stole money from a PNC Bank located inside the Giant grocery store on York Road.
Baltimore County police have arrested a robber who targeted the PNC Bank located inside of Giant Food Store on York Road Friday morning. The robber implied possession of a handgun before stealing cash from the bank, said Capt. Jonathan Trentzsch, commander of the Towson police precinct. At around 11:30 a.m., police apprehended the robber, who ran out of the store—at 6340 York Road—and crossed the county line into the city. No further information is available at this time. Four-page opinion hints that justices will likely overturn Maryland ruling involving the collection of samples from people charged with felonies.
UPDATED (6:00 p.m.)—U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts continued a stay in the Maryland Court of Appeals ruling that had stopped police departments in Maryland from collecting DNA samples from some arrestees. With the delay continued, police in Maryland can continue to collect the samples until the Supreme Court issues an opinion. Roberts, in a four-page order, wrote that there is a reasonable chance that Maryland could win its appeal and overturn the Court of Appeals ruling. "[The Maryland Court of Appeals] decision conflicts with decisions of the U. S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Ninth Circuits as well as the Virginia Supreme Court, which have upheld statutes similar to Maryland’s DNA Collection Act," Roberts wrote. …

A Hampden man and a Medfield man were arrested Sunday morning after allegedly stealing cash and cigarettes.
Two North Baltimore men were arrested after allegedly robbing a Royal Farms store just north of the city line, authorities said. According to a police incident report, two men entered the store in the 6000 block of Falls Road at 5:31 a.m. Sunday. They robbed the store, taking $265 in cash and $67 in cigarettes and fled on foot, police said. The incident report did not specify what weapon was used in the incident. Police said they quickly located and arrested Thomas James Busard, 19, of the 3300 block of Paine St. in Hampden, and Michael Robert Blevins, also 19, of the 1300 block of West 42nd St. in Medfield. In a ceremony at Patriot Plaza in Towson on Friday, friends, family, police and Baltimore County officials honored eight police officers who died while serving residents. Eight officers have died either in the line of duty or while doing security work since 1969, according to a county police press release. The release also described the acts of the fallen officers:
