Flacco’s Language: Not [Expletive] Awesome

Humor columnist Mike Moran writes that there couldn't possibly be a more pressing issue facing the nation than a foul mouthed quarterback.

On Feb 3, the Baltimore Ravens won their second Super Bowl championship to the ecstatic delight of Baltimoreans and Marylanders the state over. The jubilation was unfortunately sullied just minutes after the victory when Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, with blatant disregard for the minds and futures of the youths watching at home, did the unthinkable—he said a dirty word on network television. Now I know this is not the type of issue we Americans take lightly, and I completely understand the terror and rage we are all currently experiencing. Censorship Group Targets CBS After Flacco’s F-Bomb

The Parents Television Council wants the network held accountable for not blocking the quarterback’s use of an expletive.

Joe Flacco’s foul language following the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl win on Sunday night may put CBS, the network that televised the game, in hot water with the FCC, according to Politico. Following the win, the team’s first championship in more than a decade, Flacco was caught repeatedly using an expletive that CBS wasn’t able to bleep out before it was broadcast into millions of homes. The news website, which covers politics and government, reports that the Parents Television Council asked the commission to investigate why the network allowed the word to be broadcast.
