Mount Washington School Keeps Pushing for $50,000

The public school is competing for money to improve play areas, add computers and implement its International Baccalaureate program.

This press release was sent by Jill Feinberg, president of The Mount Washington School's Parent Teacher Organization. The Mount Washington School (MWS), a National Blue Ribbon public school in northwest Baltimore, is competing with more than 2,500 other schools across the country for a $50,000 grant from the Clorox Power a Bright Future grant program. If successful, MWS would use the grant funds to improve play spaces, add computers in every classroom, and support the new International Baccalaureate (IB) program for the middle grades. The school is currently ranked #16 in the “Explore” category.
