Open Thread: Did Man Go Too Far Protecting His Son?

A Baltimore man allegedly forced one of his son’s tormentors into his car and cursed at him.

How far would you go to protect your child from bullying? Tell us in the comments. Donald Shields Sr., 33, is being held without bail on kidnapping, assault and false imprisonment charges after he allegedly forced a child that reportedly beat up his son into his car and cursed at him on Nov. 5, according to Baltimore Sun. Shields allegedly drove the boy around before dropping him off at Yorkwood Elementary School. Tia Drakes, Shields’ fiancé, said he was doing what the school wouldn’t do and  protecting their son, WBAL-TV reports. The eight-year-old boy told the television station his stomach would hurt when he went to school because he was so afraid of bullying.
