34 Individuals Face State and Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

Search and arrest warrants were executed in Baltimore City and Baltimore County on Tuesday.

Law enforcement agencies executed 20 search warrants, and made more than a dozen arrests on Tuesday morning after federal and state indictments for heroin and marijuana distribution were returned against 34 people. The search and arrest warrants were executed in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, and resulted in the seizure of ammunition, suspected heroin pills and tens of thousands of dollars, according to a Baltimore Police Department news release. An investigation of this drug organization began in 2011 and culminated with wiretaps on 10 phone lines on Sept. 2012. Informant Led ATF Sting on Drug Robbery Suspects

Three of the men arrested in the sting operation on Thursday were accused of being drug dealers from Waverly.

The work of an informant and undercover agent led to the arrest of three alleged drug dealers from Waverly during an operation that left one suspect shot and injured. The U.S. Attorney has filed charges against six people for conspiracy to obtain and distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, and conspiracy to posses a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. Tracey Theraldine Betters, 20, Blake Aristotle Betters, 23, Brandon Adonnis Harris, 20, John McLaurin, 22, Aaron Walker, 23, and Isiah Benjamin, 18, were all charged on Friday.  According to an affidavit filed in federal court, Baltimore police alerted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that Blake Betters, Tracey Betters and Brandon Harris were drug traffickers…
