5 Guns Seized in Federal Investigation

The guns were taken from a home in Kenilworth Park.

Baltimore police recovered five guns following a search and seizure by United States Postal Service Investigators. According to police, at 11:05 a.m., April 25 investigators performed a search at 4903 St. George’s Ave. and recovered a Colt Cobra .38, a Smith and Wesson .38, a Colt Trooper .357 and an Olympic Arms Topbreak .455.  The guns were seized as part of a federal investigation. Marcy Murphy, a spokeswoman for the U.S. State’s Attorney for the District of Maryland, said no information about the investigation is currently being made public.

Robber Drops ID While Assaulting Security Guard

The robber was trying to steal food from Safeway.

A warrant has been issued for a robber who assaulted a security guard while trying to steal food from Safeway. According to Baltimore police, at 2:18 p.m., April 22, a robber was trying to take $40.81 worth of food from Safeway, 2401 N. Charles St. As the robber was trying to get away with the stolen items a security guard confronted the robber. The robber then assaulted the security guard and ran from the scene. However, while assaulting the security guard the robber’s identification was dropped. North Baltimore Crime: Spate of Car Break-Ins Hit Hampden

Belvedere Larceny from Auto: 5700 block of Clearspring Road, between 10 p.m., April 18 and 11 a.m., April 19. A Maryland tag was stolen from a 2010 Dodge. Better Waverly Larceny Shoplifting: 601 E. 33rd St., noon, April 17. A thief tried to steal $24.12 worth of food but was caught and issued a citation. Larceny Shoplifting: 3133 Greenmount Ave., 2:25 p.m., April 18. A thief stole two VSOP Paul Mason liquor bottles. Charles Village Larceny from Auto: 100 block W. 27th Street, between 4 and 5:30 a.m., April 18. An MP3 player, various CDs and DVDs were stolen from a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. The guy who broke into the house on the 2600 block of Miles in Remington is a real piece of work. He lives at 2720 Huntingdon Ave, his name is Tony Bullock and he has been a real problem for the neighborhood. He is only 17 years old but has committed several other burglaries on his neighbors homes. Bellona-Gittings Attempted Burglary Residential: 100 block of E. Lake Avenue, 7:20 a.m., April 16. A burglar attempted to pry open rear and side windows. Better Waverly Larceny Shoplifting: 601 E. 33rd St., 1:45 p.m., April 14. A shoplifter tried to steal various food items from Giant Food, was caught and issued a citation.   Larceny Auto: 800 block of Montpelier Street, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., April 16. Gun Pulled After Woman Bumps Into Man

The woman was walking in the 3900 block of Falls Road.

A man pointed a gun at a woman after she accidentally bumped into him on the street. According to Baltimore police, at 10:50 a.m., on Thursday,  a woman was walking in the 3900 block of Falls Road when she bumped into a man. The woman said, "excuse me" and then the man pulled out a gun and pointed it at her. "What did you say? Say something else," the man told her. He then started running north on Falls Road. Man Allegedly Pulls Gun During Argument About iPhone

Wardell Blackwell, 22, is accused of barricading himself in his apartment before being arrested.

A Better Waverly man is accused of threatening a woman with a handgun and then barricading himself in a house following an argument about an iPhone.  According to Baltimore police, at 11:05 a.m., April 9, Wardell Blackwell, 22, was fighting with a woman about a cellphone in the 700 block of E. 30th Street when he allegedly pulled out a .44-caliber revolver. He then reportedly pointed the gun at the woman who ran from the house and called the police. Sgt. J. Eric Kowalcyzk, a police spokesman, said Blackwell went back inside his apartment following the argument, and that police arrived, surrounded and secured the scene.  He said Blackwell eventually called his mother, told her that he wanted to surrender, and she notified police. Robbers “Rough Up” Man on Greenmount Avenue

One of the robbers was armed with a handgun.

A man was robbed of his iPhone and $50 while walking on Greenmount Avenue According to Baltimore police, at 1 a.m., April 8 two robbers approached a man in the 3000 block of Greenmount Avenue. A robber then pulled out a black handgun and told the man "kick that [expletive] out." The man complied and handed over his property to the robbers. Armed Robber Targets Medfield Home

The robber stole $491 from the residents.

A robber entered a Medfield home through a rear door and demanded cash. According to Baltimore police, at 4:52 a.m., April 8 a robber entered the home in the 4100 block of W. Weldon Place armed with a handgun and demanded money. A man handed over $91 to the robber, but the robber was not satisfied. He then took $400 from the man’s girlfriend’s purse and ran back out of the house on foot. Responding officers called for the crime lab and processed the scene. Harwood Woman Accused of Hammer Attack

According to police, Robin McKoy, 53, allegedly attacked a woman unprovoked.

A Harwood woman faces criminal charges for reportedly attacking another woman with a hammer. According to Baltimore police, at 10:12 a.m. on April 3 in the 400 block of E. 25th Street, 53-year-old Robin McKoy allegedly attacked a woman walking in the area with a hammer.   Sgt. Eric Kowalcyk, a police spokesman, said the woman who reported being attacked told police she had just gotten off a bus, and was walking west when she was attacked without reason. He said the woman was struck with the hammer on the head and arms, but refused medical treatment at the scene.   McKoy, of the 300 block of E. 25th Street, faces charges of assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, reckless endangerment and using a dangerous weapon with the…

Abell Stolen Auto: 3200 block of Greenmount Avenue, 8:45 p.m., April 4. A gray 2007 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was stolen.
