Code Orange Air Quality Alert for Much of Maryland Friday
Clouds and possible severe thunderstorms Saturday should help improve air quality in much of Maryland.
Much of Maryland will be under a code orange air quality alert Friday.
The Maryland Department of the Environment predicts that ozone concentrations will make the air quality unhealthy for people more sensitive to such conditions, including children, seniors, asthmatics and those with heart or lung disease could be affected by air pollution.
Those conditions are expected to change Saturday as clouds and the possibility of severe storms should help lower air pollution levels.
