Baltimore Police Track Down Alleged Robber Using iPhone App

Baltimore police tracked down and arrested a suspected armed robber using an iPhone app. 

According to Baltimore police, at 1:36 a.m., June 9, Aaron Clark, 50, allegedly robbed a woman of her iPhone in the 2700 block of Guilford Avenue after displaying a handgun in the waist of his pants.

When police arrived at the scene they were able to use the Find My iPhone app to track the phone to the 400 block of East 27th Street, where police said they found Clark trying to sell the cellphone.

The iPhone’s owner then selected Clark from a photo line up, and he now faces several charges including armed robbery, assault first degree and use of a handgun during a felony.

According to electronic court records, Clark has an extensive criminal background that includes probation after conviction for charges of manufacturing and selling a controlled dangerous substance and a conviction for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

A preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled in Baltimore City District Court at 8:30 a.m., July 9, 5800 Wabash Ave.
