America's Most Wanted Host To Ripken Kidnapper: 'Turn Yourself In'

A $100,000 reward is being offered for information regarding Vi Ripken's kidnapping last year.

By Nick DiMarco

John Walsh, host of the television program America's Most Wanted, had a few choice words Thursday for the man behind the kidnapping of Cal Ripken Jr.'s mother.

"They're going to hunt you down. ... Turn yourself in," Walsh said.

While the show remains on hiatus, Walsh -- longtime friend of the Ripken family -- said he would lend the show's website and it's crime reporting resources to investigators.

Walsh, citing his decades-long experience in criminal investigation, speculated that the kidnapper was likely a professional burglar and did not target the Ripken family specifically.

"Whatever he is, he did the crime, hopefully he'll do the time," Walsh said.

Investigators said there was no new information that could be released pertaining to the active investigation.
