Baltimore Police Arrest 'Public Enemy Number One'

Capone Chase, 19, is accused of luring a man to a playground and killing him.

(UPDATED, 4:11 p.m.)—Capone Chase, 19, the second man Baltimore police named "public enemy number one" in the last month, has been arrested. 

Chase, who was wanted for allegedly luring 21-year-old Ramon Rodriguez on July 13, at about 11 p.m. to a playground in Greektown and killing him, was arrested in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:50 a.m., Thursday.

The arrest warrant accuses Capone of forcing Rodriguez onto his knees, then making him empty his pockets and shooting him several times. The warrant also states police were able to find at least one witness who was able to identify Chase as the shooter.

Chase is the second man to be given the title "public enemy number one" and arrested by Baltimore police this month.

Darryl Anderson, 25, was given the title after he allegedly shot three women—killing one—in the 3300 block of Elmora Avenue on June 27. Police found and arrested Anderson in Alabama on July 17.
